It’s been two years since Mr. Moon started playing to audiences around the world, and we are still travelling and seeking new adventures. This family, this band, this group of artists and freaks began touring in Europe, playing at festivals, in town squares, and on street corners, before travelling to Mexico to bring their show to the country’s restaurants, cabarets, mezcal bars and theatres.

Mr. Moon’s journey will take you from one extreme to the other: from laughter to tears, from doubt to love, from politics to poetry.

Mr. Moon was developed in 2019 by Moon Cabaret, the theatre branch of the international artist collective Snowapple. The company wanted to create a show that could be performed in unexpected places, reach unexpected audiences, and bring together the most bold and talented artists.

In 2021 the Moon family crossed paths with Mujeres del Viento Florido and had the chance to perform with them during the Mr. Moon tour throughout Mexico in October 2021. Mujeres del Viento Florido is a Mexican regional group, formed in 2006 by Maestra Lety, bringing together more than 40 women from different communities in the state of Oaxaca, together taking up a repertoire traditionally performed exclusively by men. Since then, we have collaborated with four of these talented musicians: Regina López, Yessica Hernández, Flor Gutíerrez, Diana Martínez: el Cuarteto del Viento Florido.
